The next two principal mergers with New York road (in the La Crescenta area) and to the top of Chevy Chase, expanded Glendale to 29.2 square miles by 1952. Since 1952, the merger of 27 more acres
has happened. At 30.5 square miles Glendale is now at its largest size.
